The 2012 Mansion in May has come to a close and we had almost 30,000 people through our room at the Mansion.
For those of you who were not able to visit the showhouse, M. Frederick designed the main living room area. Frederick's room was designed
around the conceptual needs of a growing family of five who would desire a
family-friendly, yet sophisticated main living area suitable for daily family
living activities, more formal entertaining, and the needs of a small personal
home office.
To this end, we wanted to craft a space that is clean and bright
while still managing to maintain and showcase the architectural magnificence of
the room. We wanted the room that could stand up to the aesthetic and physical
demands of a black-tie fundraiser that would also be a warm, welcoming family
space, reflecting the sophisticated equestrian, art, and Hermes addictions of
our conceptual family. In the end, we wanted to design a room that is the
embodiment of our “Elegant Living for Everyday Life” theme.
Here are some great images of the finished room.
